FCCLA
Cedar Grove HS's chapter of FCCLA emphasises the relationship between home, school and the community within the Ellenwood/ Decatur area. We strive as Saints and Scholars to develop leadership skills wihtin the school and the community and to prepare our members for the professional careers of their choose.
Cedar Grove FCCLA is afflicated with the Early Childhood Education pathway instructed by Mrs. Braxton-Harris
Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is a nonprofit national career and technical student organization for young men and women in Family and Consumer Sciences
education.
Students in public and private school from the 6th grade through 12th grade can be apart of FCCLA. FCCLA is the only national Career and Technical Student Organization with the family as its central focus. Since 1945, FCCLA members have been making a difference in their families, careers, and communities by addressing important personal, job related, and societal issues through Family and Consumer Sciences education.

Our Purposes:
To provide opportunities for personal development and preparation for adult life.
To strengthen the function of the family as the basic unit of society.
To encourage democracy through cooperative action in the home and community.
To encourage individual and group involvement in helping achieve global cooperation and harmony.
To promote greater understanding between youth and adults.
To provide opportunities for making decision and for assuming responsibilities.
To provide for the multiple roles of men and women in today's society.
To promote family and consumer sciences, family and consumer sciences careers and related occupations.
